Cricket Information

Can all players please arrive 15 minutes before the game and make sure that you bring a bottle of water to the game.

Kiwi Cricket 
The MCA run 4 grades of Kiwi Cricket Competitions. They are the following:
- Gold Grade - Yr 2 and 3, run on Friday evenings at Fitzherbert Park
(Russell Street School place their Yr 1 and Yr 2 players in the Blue grade)
- Blue Grade - Yr 3 and 4, Saturday mornings at Papaioea Park
- Red Grade - Yr 4 and 5, Saturday mornings at Manawaroa/Ongley Park
- Green Grade - Yr 5 and 6, Saturday mornings at Manawaroa/Ongley Park
All grades are 8 a-side and are meant to be a fun first step in the kids cricketing careers.

Primary B Grade (8 a-side) 
The Primary B Grade is run on Saturday mornings at Ongley Park and is played to Kiwi Cricket rules with a 'Incrediball' or 'Hard ball' used instead of a Kiwi Cricket ball.
Primary A Grade (11 a-side)
Traditional hard ball cricket played at Ongley Park and is the highest competition at primary level. All games are 25 overs and competition points are kept.

In the A and B grades players are required to provide their own white cricket pants and they will be issued a RSS sports top.  In all other grades they will be issued with RSS shorts and top.
